Local cats are facing a new big threat

The sudden overpopulation of cats has caused trouble for everyone

Due to people feeding stray cats and not making sure they are neutered there have been an increase in the cat population. Most of the cats are left hungry because of the lack of food and are in danger of starving to death.

People are NOT happy with the cats not leaving them alone

Residents have complained about this problem and some have gone as for to set up traps for the cats so that they will get caught and die. the municipality hasn't acted on this problem yet and it is growing bigger as time goes on

This problem is not beneficial for either side as the cats have an increased death rate and the people are very uncomfortable. This is why neutering street cats is very important. As Dr. Levy says Research at the University of Florida shows that they gain weight and stray less after they’ve been neutered, so that’s a benefit for their welfare, as well,. People should be made aware of this problem to avoid it in the future.
